MODERN PARENTS

Nowadays, family faces difficulties and its role is more demanding since the structure of society has changed. Parents’ responsibilities have been modified in order to furnish their children with all that qualities for social life are necessary.
In the first place, parents should spend time with their children. A pressing issue is that both parents have limited time with their children. Their jobs usually are time-consuming and demanding many hours.  As a result children are brought up by their grandparents or babysitters.  Spending more time with their children, parents are able to foster them values or ideas which will be useful for their future.
Secondly, parents should be open-minded. Children, especially teenagers, can be reactive and their goals can meet with opposition from what their parents have visualized for them. Parents should respect the needs of their children and understand that adolescence has brought about changes in their kids.
Finally, parents should be patient. They ought to remember that they are dealing with children and try to mitigate quarrels which probably take place. They should explain to their children the rules of family and school life and avert them from bad behaviors.
To sum up, parents ought to bridge the generation gap and bring up their kids with love and understanding. In this way, children will become capable of dealing with our competitive society.
